Reviews policy
This page explains how user reviews are collected, moderated and published on PetFoodStats.
Who can post a review
Only users with an account and a verified email address can post a review. Each review is tied to a pet declared in the user's profile, so that the feedback is contextualized (species, age, sensitivities).
A user can post only one review per (product, pet) pair. They may edit it at any time; any edit sends the review back through moderation.
Moderation before publication
Every review is reviewed by our team before being published: a review is only visible on the site after approval.
A review may be refused if it is off-topic, insulting, defamatory, disparaging, promotional, manifestly false, written for a purpose other than sharing a genuine experience, or if it contains third parties' personal data.
Review verification
Published reviews are declarative: they reflect the experience reported by their author. We do not verify that the author actually purchased the product.
No review is presented as a "verified purchase". The reality of the purchase is not checked, but every author is an identified user with a verified account and email.
No compensation
No compensation is offered in exchange for posting a review. We do not solicit, buy or write fake reviews, and we do not alter the content of published reviews.
Publication time and retention
Reviews are generally moderated within a few days. Approved reviews are shown with their publication date and kept for as long as the product and the author's account exist.
Reporting a review
Any logged-in user can report, free of charge, a review they consider inappropriate, stating a reason (spam, fake review, offensive content, other). Reported reviews are re-examined by our team.
Brands and right of reply
A brand that believes a review about it is false, disparaging or unlawful can report it to us at the address below. We review each request and promptly remove manifestly unlawful content.
